August 1st - Ride from PRS to Mission Raceway
#21
We are doing a group ride for sure (unless it's absolutely pissing rain!).
I plan to leave at 9am.
I will be taking it easy, PRS style, and there will be a few maps pre-printed at PRS.
I will arrange with someone from Vancouver BMW-Ducati for a place to store our gear while we are there.

I want to catch the first couple of races at 10:30, and be ready for the track walk.
It's only $10 to get in, the track walk is free, and there is a catering truck.
There is Taste Of Racing as well for those that have some experience under their belt. I think it's $10 also.

Sharon Hudson Wrote:Aria have you had any response for a ride to the raceway on Aug 1st? I'd be interested if there is a group. Wink

Hi Sharon.
Sorry for the delay as I've been out of town the past few days for work without email, but if you've read Bernie's posts after yours, there will definitely be a ride (and I'm WILLING it to be sunny and hot!). A handful of others mentioned earlier this month they'd join in. Not as big as the recent Squamish ride, but I don't think many people are interested in watching races. Glad we'll have at least one uber-experienced rider there (Bernie) as I've never led a group ride before. See you there!

To Dat - Thanks for leading the group today! Glad people joined in, but that group left-turn at King George to 16th was interesting.

To Bernie - Thanks a bunch for the track walk and for promoting the ride. Maybe there will be another group ride for the last races in Sept.

Hope everyone who came out had fun. I know I did.

Hey, thanks for joining us!

Okay, lots of thanks, hope I get it right!
What a great day, and I have to tell you the kids were thrilled!

First of all, huge thanks to Pat from Midlife Crisis Racing/Vancouver BMW Ducati for all his help, tents and tables, etc. Couldn't do it that well without you Pat!
And much appreciated those who are pitching in to pay for the t-shirts we gave the kids. They were well received!

Thanks too to Dean, Jayson, all the exec and WMRC fine folks who made it all too easy, and possible in the first place.
Added thanks to Spiro, Peter O'Toole, Eddie and Dean for the fly-by, it was way beyond cool, they loved it ;-)

Thanks to everyone, I felt really good about what we did, what we accomplished, and how we represented racers and racing.

Thanks
Bernie
