Sport Tour
#1
I took the program spring 2012. Since then have ridden about 10,000Km * or -, mixed city and highway. Have been in rain, extreme heat, night rides through canyon roads, watched wildlife on the side of the road, and lot's in between. The training at Pacific has kept me safe, and allowed me to enjoy this crazy good hobby with all parts in tact.

I started with a 650 Suzuki V strom, then figured out what I really like, BMW R1200RT. I can't say I care too much for the phycological warfare sustained from city riding. However, getting out on the open road, a short run up to Whistler, or longer runs down south to Highway 20, and the Okanogan I get a kick out of. Feels much safer as well.

Safetey dictates how I ride, having said that, I still have a liitle fun here and there, but never push the rules too far. In other words, my bike would never be impounded and towed.

Any other sport tour riders out there? looking to connect for some decent rides.

Geez, I'd feel like Karate Kid riding with Master Li, my every move and occational flaw would be exposed. Definately be up for it though, I'm always open for improvement. I'll keep an eye on the weather and good day in the next couple of weeks and drop you a note.

Hey Peeps,

I'm looking for peeps to ride with during the evening week days and weekends even if it's only to ride around town or hitting up Squamish and Harrison. I live in the East Vancouver area very close to Burnaby. Don't be afraid to shoot me an e-mail @ vincentakim@gmail.com.

I haven't been on this forum for a couple weeks, was busy preparing for the Iron Butt 1000 - another story.

Anyone interested in a long ride for Saturday? This would be a full day, prepare for all conditions. A couple of options:

Vancouver > accross boarder to HY 20 > Winthrop > Osoyoos > Home via HY 3.

or

Vancouver > Princeton > 5A to Merritt > Kamloops> Lillooet > Duffey Lk > Pemberton > Whistler > Home (872KM)

or

Vancouver to Pemberton to Lillooet to Merritt to Princeton to Home

or just plain old Duffey Lake run

Any interest?

For a beginner run I'd be happy to take a run up to Squamish after work subject to there being no rain after work this week?

You guys should start up a new thread for each ride.. makes it more visible and easier. I know it's a pain to post all the time, and seems like no one replies.. but that's probably what everyone's thinking, and no one posts LOL
