PRS teaches you to become a rider who is knowledgeable, responsible and most importantly in control of your motorcycle. We start from the absolute basics and work up slowly and strategically to more intermediate skills.

The MSA Certification course is designed for the new rider with absolute no previous riding experience, but can be tailored to the experienced rider that wants to enhance their fundamentals. Even riders with 20+ years experience find the course challenging.

You must have your Motorcycle Learner’s Permit when you begin your course.

Our program offers a 28 hour course that is divided into 3 segments; 8 hours of classroom theory, 10 hours of parking lot training, and 2 road rides (one throughout the lower mainland including downtown and the second focusing on school zones / playground zones areas in the Surrey municipality), all on a motorcycle that we provide.

Our in house certified assessment officers will conduct your MSA test. Upon successful completion, riders are allowed to ride unsupervised at all posted speed limits. After completing the final road ride with our school, we will make arrangements with ICBC for the Class 6 Road Test on our motorcycles.

Here are some of topics that are covered:

We apply everything you learn in the classroom and lot on your road rides. Instructor and students are linked via Kenwood FM Frequency Communicators that have an effective range of 8 kilometers. Instructions and feedback on your progress is immediate giving you the best in road experience. Rides may cover the following areas; Downtown Robson, Commercial Street, Chinatown, Gastown, UBC, Spanish Banks, Metrotown, Stanley Park, Kitsilano, Richmond, New Westminster, Surrey, Delta, White Rock and Langley. We want you to learn in the same environment in which you would be riding, after graduating from the course.

Courses start in early February, and continue until the first week of November. PRS is the only school in the Lower Mainland that offers many schedule options to accommodate our students. We are able to provide this kind of flexibility because; unlike most other schools, we do not rent (share) our training facilities with other businesses. Our training facility is owned and operated by Pacific Riding School, which also allows for private lessons should they be required. Your training will be conducted in a safe and controlled environment.

We have new courses starting every Monday (including statutory holidays) with 4 different schedule options to offer you as much flexibility as possible. It is a 28 hour course that is scheduled over either a 1 week period or a 2 week period. Refer to our policies page regarding changes within a course.
