Ride to Conquer Cancer – Motorcycle Safety Volunteer Opportunity

We have an incredible volunteer opportunity available to new and experienced motorcyclists who are looking to take part in the largest fundraising event for the BC Cancer Foundation and gain some riding hours with an experienced Moto Safety Team.

EVENT DETAILS
The Ride to Conquer Cancer® is a unique, two-day cycling event to take place on August 29th – 30th, 2015. During this bold cycling journey, Riders will bike over 250km from Vancouver to Seattle in an effort to raise funds and awareness for the BC Cancer Foundation. With over 3,000 participants and volunteers the Ride is the largest fundraising event for the BC Cancer Foundation. The Ride was built upon the courageous efforts of volunteers; helping us move closer to conquering cancer in our lifetime.

CREW DETAILS:
Crew Members are dedicated volunteers who commit two full days to making the Ride to Conquer Cancer a possibility!

When you sign up for Crew here are some of the benefits you receive on your 2 Day Event Experience:

  • Compensation for miles driven
  • Meals for the entire weekend
  • Tent accommodation
  • Celebration on Saturday to recognize the efforts of our Riders and Crew
  • 2 Crew t-shirts
  • Earn 40 hours of volunteer service

Motorcycle Safety:
Moto Safety works with Road Dispatch staff and local law enforcement to guarantee safe passage for Riders during each day’s route. Assist at difficult intersections and other locations as requested. Team will be screened as necessary for appropriate experience and training.  Required to provide own motorcycle and helmet, a copy of your license, and proof of insurance.

I understand we had some great volunteers out from Pacific Riding School last year who were crucial to the success of the event.  I would be grateful if you could send this information on to the team to help support our team to build an outstanding Moto Safety Team for 2015.

I have attached an application form to this email for anyone who may be interested.
