Bernie’s Annual Track Walk with the Kids Sun, Jul 27
When: Sunday Jul 27 11:30am
Where: Mission Raceway Park (32670 Dyke Road, Mission)
- Free with Admission.
- All kids under 12 are free any race day with the WMRC.
- A special day where we host the kids from BC Children’s Hospital, Starlight Foundation, BUT all kids of all ages are welcome to join us for a walk around the track at lunchtime.
Bernie and the Westwood Motorcycle Racing Club will be hosting any and all kids for a lunchtime track walk. The club has graciously invited all the kids from BC Children’s Hospital, The Starlight Foundation, and a few others to join them for the walk, and some racing action.
The walk is open to everyone though. Bernie will walk everyone around the track, give some insight into strategy and lines and braking, and a few racers will do a fly-by at turn 3. This part is everyone’s favorite!
And…it’s free of course, with your admission to the track.
Children under 12 are admitted free every race day.
SO, if you only come once, or want to bring the kids for a few hours or the whole day, this would be a good day
Bernie has rustle up a few trinkets for the kids from the hospital, but will try and grab some extra for all the kids. There will be race bikes for the kids to sit on, and get their pictures taken.
Also, if Bernie can get an idea that people are wanting to join, he will see about an ice cream sponsor!
