Pacific Riding School will be hosting its second annual Advanced Riding Course, in cooperation with Westcoast Superbike School, Wednesday August 25th & Saturday August 28th. This course will be offered in two parts; classroom theory and practical riding. Tuition is $350 plus HST due upon registration. Dat Louie, B. Ed McGill University, will be facilitating the classroom theory and Mark Kruger, seven time Superbike Champion, Dat Louie, and Troy Burstyk will be facilitating the training on the practical riding day. The course is not for beginners, but rather for intermediate and advanced riders, and all students are required to have at least one year of riding experience.
As there will be a theory class before the riding day, there will be no new theory taught on the riding day. We will be implementing the techniques learned during the classroom theory on the practical riding day. Theory will be held on Wednesday August 25th from 7:00pm – 10:oopm at Pacific Riding School, in the class room. The techniques and training in this course are designed for the street rider who is seeking more confidence and control in riding technique and it is open to all types of motorcycles. Topics range from body position, advanced braking, steering, and many other techniques.
The riding day is Saturday August 28th from 8:00am – 4:00pm and will be held at the Abbotsford Tradex parking lot (http://www.fvtradex.com/Page1566.aspx), offering a safe controlled environment in which to practice the techniques that you will be learning. Speed is not an issue, as the point of the course is to build technique and skill, rather than to go fast.
